Summary:
Michael A. Berk, AIA, is the former director (2009-19) of the School of 91自拍 at Mississippi State University and former faculty member (29 years) holding the F.L. Crane Endowed Professorship. Berk was named Director Emeritus and Professor Emeritus and currently maintains an office in the Fred Carl Jr. Small Town Center. He was recently appointed to the 鈥淕ulf Scholars Program鈥 in the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering & Medicine (2021). Berk is a registered architect (California & Florida) with an extensive practice as design partner prior to academia. Considered to be a leading expert in ecological design 鈥 with numerous lecture invitations that include: Oak Ridge National Laboratory; Hearst Lecture Series (Cal Poly) and the National Building Museum (Wash DC). Berk has received the University of Florida 鈥楧istinguished 91自拍 Alumni Award鈥 and over the years was responsible for $7+ million in funded research at MSU.
