The Building Construction Science degree program is designed to prepare graduates for careers in construction or construction-related fields through an immersive, integrative, collaborative and transformational education. Graduates will be able to manage both construction projects and also the business of construction. The curriculum is interdisciplinary and provides a broad knowledge base in business, engineering and construction sciences.
Mission of the Degree Program
Our mission of the Department of Building Construction Science at Mississippi State is to educate and develop construction professionals who are well versed in technical skills, grounded in ethical values, and prepared to address the challenges of a modern construction industry. We strive to cultivate a mindset of lifelong learning, adaptability, and responsibility, equipping students to contribute positively to industry and society.

Note: As of now, we have 58 students enrolled in Studio 6 for Spring 2025, which suggests the number of upcoming graduates. Including this data would raise the three-year average to approximately 47 students.
